This description frames the unresolved cause and assessment question.
Ask each clinic: What explains the difference between the two sides in my case?
Clinics are listed alphabetically. Sources checked 1 November 2026. Missing information should be confirmed with the clinic.
What does "uneven" mean in your consultation request?
Uneven can describe the crease height, the amount of visible crease, the opening of the eye or a difference that changes with expression. Write down the observation before naming a repair. For example, "the left crease looks higher in a relaxed, straight-ahead photograph" gives the clinician more useful context than "I need the same operation again."
The clinic pages offer different entry points. BECOME separates several revision concerns, ID lists asymmetry among its categories, JK discusses circumstances for revision, and VIEW describes assessing the previous problem and current condition. These descriptions can frame consultation questions without identifying the cause of your asymmetry.
Which records make the replies easier to compare?
Build a chronology rather than a photo collage
Include when the original operation took place, any later procedure, what changed during healing and when the concern became noticeable. If available, request the original operation record and the names of procedures actually performed. Keep the record separate from your preferred appearance so the consultation does not become a discussion of reference photos alone.
NHS guidance on surgery abroad recommends discussing the procedure, risks and aftercare with the surgeon. For a revision request, extend that conversation to previous treatment and responsibility for reviewing the old records. Ask whether the first reply comes from a coordinator or the clinician who would assess you.
How can two revision plans differ without one being wrong?
One clinic may first need to examine the existing crease; another may ask for further records before proposing anything. Different replies may reflect the information available rather than differences in skill. A useful reply identifies the unresolved question and explains what examination would answer it. A confident diagnosis from a small set of photographs deserves clarification.
- Which feature is being compared between the two eyes?
- What existing incision, fixation or tissue condition must be assessed?
- What would the operation change, and what could remain asymmetric?
- Is the proposed fee provisional until examination, and which change would alter it?
When should a concern move beyond quote collection?
The ASPS eyelid-risk page includes possible revision, dry eyes, closure difficulty and changes in vision. New eye symptoms should be assessed clinically rather than treated as a reason to collect more cosmetic quotations. If symptoms are severe or unexpected, seek prompt medical care rather than waiting for an overseas booking.
For a stable cosmetic concern, compare the explanations after each clinic has received the same history. Keep uncertainty visible in your notes. A reply that states what cannot yet be determined may be more useful than an early promise of perfect symmetry. Make travel decisions after the examination pathway and follow-up arrangements are clear.
Frequently asked questions
Should both eyes always be revised?
That depends on the assessment and proposed goal. Ask why the plan includes one side or both and what trade-offs follow.
Can a photo establish why the crease is uneven?
A photo can help start a discussion, but it may not establish the underlying cause or a final surgical plan.
Do these pages show comparative revision success rates?
No. The cited clinic pages do not provide a comparable outcome dataset; they describe assessment and procedure information.
Sources and comparison method
Clinic information is attributed to each provider. NHS and ASPS sources explain general care and risks. They do not describe Korean legal requirements or clinic-specific outcomes.
