This description helps define the anatomical scope behind the facelift label.
Ask each clinic: Which facial areas and deep-tissue tasks are included in the quotation?
Clinics are listed alphabetically. Sources checked 1 November 2026. Missing information should be confirmed with the clinic.
Why do facelift labels need translation into a plan?
A mini facelift can sound like a smaller version of every other facelift, but the public label does not define the exact treated area or extent of surgery. The four clinics use several descriptions, including SMAS, deep-plane and different lifting categories. You need an individual explanation before deciding whether the quotes concern equivalent care.
BECOME separates facelift, mini facelift and midface lift. BRAUN distinguishes mini and full SMAS descriptions. JK lists several lifting procedures. VIEW discusses SMAS-layer lifting on its facelift page. They show differences in terminology only and do not compare surgical quality.
Which components should be made explicit?
Map the named operation to the area being treated
Ask whether the proposed plan concerns the cheeks, jawline, neck or a separate upper-face area. Then ask how the incision and deeper-tissue work relate to that goal. A branded procedure name may be a convenient label for the clinic, but your written plan should be understandable without the brand.
ASPS lists risks including bleeding, infection, healing problems, facial nerve injury and scarring. The relevance of each risk should be discussed for your proposed operation. A shorter incision or a "mini" label does not remove the need for that discussion.
How should you compare two prices and two timelines?
Do not price a broad face-and-neck plan against a narrower cheek or jawline plan as if they were the same purchase. Ask whether optional procedures, anesthesia, facility use and scheduled care are included. When a price changes after an examination, request the changed scope as well as the revised total.
- Write down each anatomical area included in the plan.
- Separate any neck, eyelid or additional procedure from the facelift label.
- Ask which anesthesia and review arrangements are proposed.
- Record what the clinic means by "daily activities," work and travel.
A page describing rapid return to routine activities does not establish that a long flight or a demanding job is appropriate for you at that point.
What should be settled before arranging travel?
NHS guidance for surgery abroad asks patients to consider follow-up, complications, insurance and getting home if problems occur. Use those questions to compare the service around the operation, including who responds after hours and how an extended stay would be handled.
Choose the next consultation on the basis of the explanation you still need. If two clinicians propose different anatomical scopes, ask each to explain the assessment behind the choice. A less extensive plan may not meet your goal; a more extensive plan is not automatically better. End with a defined proposal you can discuss and consider without pressure.
Frequently asked questions
Is a mini facelift always cheaper than a full facelift?
Do not assume that across clinics. The labels, treatment areas and inclusions can differ, and matched current prices were not established here.
Are SMAS and deep-plane marketing terms enough to choose a clinic?
No. Ask the surgeon to explain the actual plan, why it is proposed and the relevant risks and limits.
Can I use advertised activity times as a flight schedule?
No. Ask for an individual postoperative review and travel plan from the treating clinician.
Sources and comparison method
Clinic information is attributed to each provider. NHS and ASPS sources explain general care and risks. They do not describe Korean legal requirements or clinic-specific outcomes.
