| Clinic and published location | Published information | Points to clarify |
|---|---|---|
| BECOME Plastic Surgery 2F, Suite 201, IS Tower, 101 Teheran-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Korea (Yeoksam-dong) Official location source | The English homepage provides LINE, WhatsApp and email contact routes but no inspected fixed trip schedule. Read the official information | Use the direct route to request procedure-specific milestones and travel advice. Ask: Which in-person reviews are required before I leave Korea? |
| BRAUN Plastic Surgery 475 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea Official location source | The homepage FAQ says follow-up timing may be arranged around an overseas patient's departure date. Read the official information | Scheduling flexibility is not the same as medical clearance to fly. Ask: Who decides whether I am ready to travel, and at which review? |
| JK Plastic Surgery 835, Nonhyeon-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea Official location source | The international page describes coordinator support from consultation through follow-up. Read the official information | Ask the coordinator to map required clinical reviews separately from travel services. Ask: Please list required reviews, stitch care and the clinician's travel check. |
| VIEW Plastic Surgery 107, Bongeunsa-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Korea Official location source | The general eye page lists daily activities at 2-3 days; the revision page lists 7 days. Read the official information | These marketed activity timings do not establish flight clearance for an individual. Ask: What separate clinical criteria do you use when advising on air travel? |
Clinics are listed alphabetically. Sources checked 1 November 2026. Missing information should be confirmed with the clinic.
Build the trip from required clinical events
Start with events that the clinic says must occur in person: examination, consent, procedure, early review, dressing changes, stitch removal if relevant and any final check before departure. Ask whether the procedure might change after the on-site examination and whether that would move later appointments. BRAUN says follow-up timing may be arranged around an overseas patient's departure on its homepage FAQ. JK describes coordinator support through follow-up on its international page. Ask each clinic which reviews your proposed procedure requires before departure.
Include weekends and clinic closure days when counting whether a stated review can occur before departure.
Ask separately when you can resume activities and fly
VIEW's eye surgery page lists daily activities after two to three days for its general eye-surgery overview, while its revision page lists seven days. Those are the clinic's published procedure descriptions, not a statement that a named patient is fit to fly. The NHS travel guidance says return travel should be discussed. The ASPS eyelid safety page lists symptoms and risks that may affect individual plans. Ask the treating team for separate, case-specific travel advice.
Swelling or bruising may affect comfort and appearance without answering the separate medical question of travel fitness. Ask about both rather than substituting one for the other.
Use a milestone calendar with decision points
A calendar is more useful when it records who must clear each step.
Example trip-planning fields
- Arrival and in-person examination
- Earliest possible procedure date
- Required review dates and their purpose
- Dressing or stitch care date, if applicable
- Latest date the plan could change
- Who gives travel advice and when
- Local contact if departure must be delayed
Add flexible accommodation and flight-change terms to your personal planning questions, but do not assume the clinic pays for changes. Allow flexibility for delays, further discussion or an added review.
Note who may revise the calendar if symptoms or examination findings require another review.
Confirm the schedule again after the in-person examination
A remote itinerary is provisional until the clinic examines you and confirms the plan. Ask for the updated procedure, review schedule and departure advice in writing. BECOME's English contact routes on its homepage can be used to request this information, but the page itself does not set a trip duration. If your procedure, anesthesia plan or symptoms change, revisit the calendar instead of preserving the original flight at all costs. "Back to daily activities" and "fit for air travel" answer different questions. Get travel advice from your treating team and check any separate airline or insurer requirements.
Build a contingency for extending accommodation and moving transport, even when the original plan appears straightforward.
Frequently asked questions
Is seven days enough for every eyelid-surgery trip?
No. Required reviews, stitch care, symptoms and travel advice vary by procedure and person.
Does "daily activities" mean I can fly?
No. Website activity timing is not individual medical clearance for air travel.
When should I buy a fixed return ticket?
Ask the clinic for required milestones and travel advice first, then consider change terms and your own risk tolerance.
Sources and comparison method
Clinic information is attributed to each provider. NHS and ASPS sources explain general care and risks. They do not describe Korean legal requirements or clinic-specific outcomes.
