Use street addresses before neighborhood labels
"Gangnam clinic" can describe a wider area than Gangnam Station itself. BECOME lists 101 Teheran-ro on its official homepage, while DA lists 125 Teheran-ro on its directions page. ID gives 142 Dosan-daero on its consultation and directions page. VIEW lists 107 Bongeunsa-ro on its directions page. BRAUN lists 475 Gangnam-daero in Seocho-gu on its official site. Use these addresses to group appointments, then check the route between them.
Copy the postal address exactly as published and keep the clinic name with it. Similar road names, branch names and translated spellings can otherwise lead to the wrong destination.
Plan around consultation quality, not the maximum number of stops
A consultation may run longer when records are reviewed, photographs are taken or a plan changes. Leave a buffer for registration, translation, payment questions and finding the correct building entrance. Live traffic, weather and subway conditions can change the practical route. The NHS surgery-abroad guidance recommends discussing language, aftercare, complications and return travel, which takes more time than viewing a price sheet. The ASPS eyelid safety guidance lists issues worth discussing with a clinician. A rushed itinerary can crowd out those questions even when the map looks efficient.
Meals, rest and note-taking also need space, especially when you are processing translated medical information.
Build a location card for each appointment
Keep the route information separate from the medical comparison.
Sample appointment card
- Clinic name and exact street address
- Building, floor and reception point
- Appointment time and requested arrival time
- Official phone or message channel
- Nearest station stated by the clinic, if published
- Documents or photos requested
- Next appointment address, not just its district
Save the clinic's published Korean address as well, if available. Take a screenshot of the official directions page for reference if mobile data fails.
Add a backup route and the clinic's late-arrival contact instead of assuming reception will hold the slot.
Group nearby appointments and check each route
Teheran-ro appointments can form one planning cluster, while Dosan-daero and Bongeunsa-ro require their own live route check. BRAUN's Seocho-gu address shows why "Gangnam area" should not be treated as one administrative district. Check a current mapping service for your travel date and transport mode, and allow extra time for delays. Confirm clinic hours and late-arrival rules directly, because an address does not tell you whether the appointment can be moved. A workable itinerary leaves enough space to take notes immediately after each consultation before the details blend together.
Recheck every location shortly before the appointment in case the clinic has updated its directions.
Frequently asked questions
Are all Gangnam clinics near Gangnam Station?
No. The term can cover several roads and nearby districts. Use each clinic's exact official address.
Can I rely on a fixed travel time?
No. Check live transit for the date and route, then add a buffer for delays and check-in.
How many consultations should I schedule in one day?
There is no universal number. Leave enough time for a full discussion, transit and immediate note-taking.
Sources and comparison method
Clinic information is attributed to each provider. NHS and ASPS sources explain general care and risks. They do not describe Korean legal requirements or clinic-specific outcomes.
